Dr. Peter Angelos is the Kilbride-Siegler-Clinton Professor of Surgery and Medicine, the Director of the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics, and Chief of Endocrine Surgery at the University of Chicago. Dr. Angelos completed his undergraduate degree, medical school, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy at Boston University. After a General Surgery residency at Northwestern University, he went on to complete fellowships in Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago and in Endocrine Surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Angelos has written over 300 peer-reviewed publications and has authored or co-authored over 50 book chapters. He is a former Governor of the American College of Surgeons, member of the Academy of Master Surgeon Educators of the American College of Surgeons, former Councilor of the American Board of Surgery, Immediate Past Chair of the Complex General Surgical Oncology Board, and past President of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons.

Troyen Brennan is an Adjunct Professor at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He was formerly the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for CVS Health and Aetna. Before that, he was the President of the Brigham and Women’s Physician Organization and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He was also Professor of Law and Public Health at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health. Brennan was formerly the Chair of the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the National Academy of Medicine. He has published six books and over 600 articles. His most recent books are The Transformation of American Health Insurance (2024) and Wonderful and Broken: The Complex Reality of Primary Care in the United States (2025)

Frederick P. Cerise, MD, MPH has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Parkland Health since 2014. His previous roles include the Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals and the Vice President for Health Affairs and Medical Education of the Louisiana State University System.

He is the immediate past chairman of the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation Board of Trustees and serves on the board of KFF. He previously served as a Commissioner on the Medicaid and CHIP Payment and Access Commission.

David Goldman is the founder and Chairman of the Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics (FASPE), a nonprofit whose mission is to promote ethical leadership and responsibility among professionals–those with the authority to impact all segments of society.

David, now retired, was a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP. He served as the head of the firm’s International Corporate Practice and as head of the firm’s New York office. David’s practice focused on corporate counseling in a variety of settings and industries.

David has served on the board of a number of for‐profit and non‐profit organizations and was formerly on the Board of Directors of the Yale Law School Fund.

David is a graduate of Washington University (BA, 1973) and Yale Law School (JD, 1976).

Louise P. King is the director of reproductive bioethics at the Harvard Medical School Center for Bioethics. She is an assistant professor of obstetrics gynecology, and reproductive medicine and has a gynecology practice at Mass General Brigham. 

Dr. King is a national leader in reproductive bioethics. She is the chair of the ethics committee for the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She serves on boards related to ethics and justice, most notably the AMA Journal of Ethics and the Public Rights Project. She has been quoted extensively in the media on issues concerning reproduction, ethics, and law.

Dr. Parker is an intensivist, clinical medical ethicist, and health services researcher who runs an NIH-funded data science lab focused on the algorithmic allocation of scarce healthcare resources. He is specifically interested in absolute scarcity problems, where demand greatly exceeds supply, and healthcare systems cannot avoid rationing. He applies advanced empirical methods to evaluate and design allocation systems according to the underlying ethical principles. His current projects focus on deceased donor organ allocation policy, life-support triage under crisis standards of care, and the allocation of novel scarce therapeutics. Dr. Parker is the founding executive director of the Common Longitudinal ICU data Format (CLIF) consortium, a growing network of ICU data science labs that develop and utilize the open-source CLIF data standard to perform privacy-preserving federated ICU data science.

Katherine R. Peeler, MD, MA, is a pediatric critical care physician at Boston Children's Hospital. She received her MD from Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, completed her pediatrics training at University of Michigan, and fellowship in critical care at Boston Children's Hospital. Dr. Peeler is an expert on the health and health rights of detained immigrant children and adults and has written extensively on this topic as well as served as an expert witness in multiple legal cases on behalf of this population. From a bioethics perspective, she is interested in the concept of divergent directives/dual loyalties and how care providers navigate opposing mandates within a care system. She is particularly interested in organizational ethics and how system missions are implemented and where barriers occur that make implementation difficult. Her research is currently supported by The Greenwall Foundation.

Vardit Ravitsky is President and CEO of the Hastings Center, an independent, nonpartisan bioethics research institute that is among the most prestigious bioethics and health policy institutes in the world. She is a Senior Lecturer on Global Health and Social Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Previously, she was a Full Professor at the Bioethics Program, School of Public Health, University of Montreal. She is Past-President of the International Association of Bioethics, and a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences and of The Hastings Center for bioethics.

Ravitsky’s research focuses on the ethics of genomics and reproduction, as well as the ethics and governance of health AI. She is particularly interested in the various ways in which cultural frameworks shape public debate and public policy around bioethical issues. Her work has been funded by Canada’s national and provincial funding agencies and is currently funded by the NIH and by leading Foundations. She has published over 250 articles and commentaries on bioethical issues and has given over 300 talks world-wide and over 400 media interviews.

Lauren Taylor, PhD, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, with joint appointments in the Division of Healthcare Delivery Science and the Division of Medical Ethics. Her research examines how healthcare is governed beyond formal law, with particular attention to the institutional, organizational, and market structures that shape access to care, practical freedom, and democratic accountability. She studies how hospitals, health systems, and other stakeholders actively make and remake policy through governance design, delegated authority, political influence, and routine managerial decisions. Dr. Taylor earned her PhD from Harvard Business School, as well as master’s degrees from Harvard Divinity School and the Yale School of Public Health, and is a former AcademyHealth Trust Scholar in Residence and a 2026 Greenwall Faculty Scholar.
